About a week ago, Samsung announced it latest smartphone in the Galaxy series with the Galaxy Alpha with metal frame body. With the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the company succeeded in switching from its norm of smartphones with plastic chassis to metal chassis.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7-inch HD super AMOLED (1280 x 720 pixels) display. The Galaxy Alpha would be available in two chipset models with a Octa-Core Exynos (1.8 GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor or a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC. It has a 32GB internal storage (no micro SDcard slot) and 2GB of RAM.
On the rear is a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1MP front facing camera. Connectivity options on the device includes – WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO(2×2), Bluetooth 4.0 BLE / ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC, 4G LTE Cat.6, 3G HSPA+, GPS.
The Galaxy Alpha also has trademark Fingerprint sensor and heart rate Monitor as well other sensor options. The device also retains the Ultra Power Saving Mode, Download Booster, Quick Connect, Private Mode features from the flagship Galaxy S5.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha measures 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm, weighs 115g, runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS and is powered by a 1860mAh battery. The device would come in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver, and Scuba Blue options and will be available in over 150 countries starting September 2014.
So we should definitely expect this rare piece of metal clad smartphone from Samsung in Nigeria.
