Why I'm always in Bikini's-Yvonne Nelson

"I can’t blame anyone, ignorance sets in because people don’t get to see us one on one so they rely on what we put out for them to see. For example, anytime I post a picture online, I edit it and it tends to make me look lighter. A lot of people get intimidated even when I am shooting on set. Some of my colleagues complain a lot about my height. Anytime I wear high heeled shoes, it is like a problem because if I am being paired with people I am taller than and I wear shoes with high heels, it makes them uncomfortable. A lot of people get intimidated, guys get intimidated.

On why she's always in bikini's

I have not heard of anybody who would go to the beach wearing jeans and a jacket. I love going to the beach and anytime I go there, I love wearing a bikini to swim. Recently, my friend had an event and the after party was at a club. In the club, I was telling my friends that I don’t know how people do it, coming to club to have fun. To start with, you cannot make a conversation with someone because you are screaming on top of your voice. I was there drinking water, I don’t smoke and everybody was looking at me as if I was a boring person. In essence, the night life is not for me becasue it does not make me happy. I don’t think you have to go to club to have a nice time. I believe having a nice time depends on the quality of people around you.

Sierra Leone athletes at the Commonwealth games vanish,refuse to return over Ebola scare

Days after Sierra Leonean cyclist Moses Sesay(above) fell ill and was isolated  for four days in the UK  after fears he may have had Ebola,he and his team mates don't want to return to their country because of the fear of contacting Ebola when they get back..  He told Times....

I am scared to be going back because it is very difficult, people are frightened of Ebola.‘We are supposed to leave just after the competition but I don’t know. On our passports we have three month visas. All of us are scared of returning. If I have the opportunity I will stay here for a while because of Ebola.’

 Teammate Jimmy Thoronka, 20, a sprinter, said he, too, wanted to extend his visa after learning his uncle had contracted Ebola.

Former Chelsea star Frank Lampard joins Manchester City in loan move

The 36-year-old will join up with his new City teammates on Wednesday and will be at the Etihad Stadium until January.
It is a short-term move for Lampard who signed in July for New York City, the MLS club owned by Manchester City and baseball giants New York Yankees.
On Friday it was reported the club was in talks with Lampard's representatives and immediately after City's shoot-out defeat by Olympiakos in the US on Saturday, manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed the move had been completed.
Pellegrini said: "From Wednesday, he will start working with us and play for us until January."

"He (Lampard) knows we have a good team and we have a lot of games in the Champions League so he's very important for our team."

When asked if Lampard was acquired just to improve his fitness for the MLS campaign which begins in March, the Chilean added: "He’s a member of the squad and he will fight for his position.
"He knows we have a good team and we have a lot of games in the Champions League so he's very important for our team."
It had initially been thought the player had agreed an autumn switch to join City's sister side Melbourne City where he would play alongside New York City teammate David Villa to improve his fitness and so this news will be a disappointment to Australian football fans.
It was also confirmed that Lampard would be available for the Premier League showdown with his old club Chelsea on Sunday, September 21.
On this fixture, Pellegrini added: "I will talk about that with him but he is a player for Manchester City and he will play every game that he needs to play."
This may raise some eyebrows at Stamford Bridge, with the England midfielder suggesting last year he would not play for another top-flight club in England.
He said in May 2013: "I can't imagine playing for anyone else after being 12 years at Chelsea. I've got a lot of respect for a lot of other Premier League clubs, particularly the top ones, but I'm not sure I could have done that."
Lampard scored 211 goals in 649 matches for Chelsea, becoming the club's record goalscorer and winning 11 major trophies in the process but was released by the club at the end of the season.
Lampard, who signed a two-year deal with New York City on July 24, is still considering his England future.
Sky Sports News football reporter Kaveh Solhekol was at Pellegrini's news conference at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday, and said that even a player of Lampard's stature would have his work cut out to earn a starting place amid stiff competition.
"According to Pellegrini, this is not a PR stunt," said Solhekol.
"Lampard is not moving to Manchester to sell shirts or to stay fit. He is moving to Manchester to fight for his place and to play at the highest levels of European football for at least another five months.
"The fight to get into the City starting XI is going to be quite a challenge, even for a player who has won every major club trophy in the European game.
"City have arguably the strongest midfield in English football. Next season, Pellegrini will be able to choose from Yaya Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Lampard, David Silva, Samir Nasri, James Milner, Jesus Navas, Javi Garcia, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair.
"Keeping all those players happy - if they all stay at City - will be a difficult, but Pellegrini is convinced that City need strength in depth to compete on four fronts next season."
Pellegrini went on to confirm that Lampard would stay at City until January and he hinted that he was now going to concentrate on one more transfer deal.
That deal will almost certainly see France defender Eliaquim Mangala moving from Porto for about £30m.
“Our transfer business doesn’t need to be completed today,” Pellegrini said. “We have time to analyse the squad and see what needs to be done.”

Ebola: Fashola Wants Borders Closed

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has urged the Federal Government to close its borders with affected West African countries to prevent the outbreak of Ebola virus in the country.

Speaking at Lagos House, Ikeja, on Friday, Fashola said Ebola was no longer a local problem, but an international one that required urgent measures in place to prevent its spread.

He said, “This is because it is easily transmittable across the borders and boundaries.

“The Federal Government team has been working with the state’s team. But I think what the Federal Government should do is to consider closing down some of our borders.

“It is difficult to stop this epidemic and we must now choose the treaty obligations that we hold under the ECOWAS treaty and perhaps short term benefits in terms of economic cost to human life. We must make that choice and consider it very seriously. It is a national security issue and I think that we should give it that attention.

“I think that men and women who man our border posts – sea, air and land -especially the customs, now know that they are our first line of defence.

“It is prevention, rather than calling the health professionals to quarantine people, that is really the strongest defence against the virus”.

The governor noted that the cremation of the remains of the Ebola victim – Patrick Sawyer – in the state recently, was the best option as dead bodies emitted fluid.

The governor added that all residents who had contacts with the dead Liberian had been tested and that the result came out negative.

“But there is still risk because we heard that a dead body was brought into the country from Liberia. This means that there is still need for vigilance at our border post. The officials at these places should act professionally and report every incident they suspect”, Fashola added.
