Microsoft Acquires Nokia Devices and Services

In what has been a very long time, Microsoft has finally
announced its acquisition of Nokia Devices after the deal
was initially announced in September 2013.
The acquisition of Finnish company is said to have cost
Microsoft a whooping $7.2 billion (€5.44 billion),
Microsoft will pay €3.79 billion for Nokia’s phone
manufacturing division and another €1.65 billion for its
patents.

This means that Microsoft now owns the devices and
services part of Nokia’s business. As a result of this Nokia
will now be known as Microsoft Mobile Oy (Oy is a
Finnish word that means Ltd. or Inc.) and the name
Nokia will exist only until December 31st 2015, also
Microsoft will also handle the Nokia.com domain so as to
ease transition.
Microsoft will take control of more than 90 percent of all
Windows Phones with Nokia Lumia’s lineup and phones
like Asha and even the new Nokia X series.
Former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop who will return to
Microsoft and will be in control of hardware projects
(projects like Lumia, Xbox, Surface) said in an open
letter;

“As Microsoft and Nokia Devices and Services come
together as an expanded family, we will unify our passion,
dedication and commitment to bringing you the best of
what our joint technologies have to offer.
Together, we can connect and empower people with one
experience for everything in their life in a world where it

All JAMB 2014 Pending Results & Biometric Issues

Following the release of the JAMB 2014 Results, lamentations and cries have been coming from candidates whose results have been seized for one reason or the other.

Some of the reasons why these results have been held back are as follows;

- No “Biometric Verification”

- No Result Yet

- You have exceeded your
allowable five times access

- You were involved in wide spread cheating

- You were involved in using electronic devices

- Due to lateness to the exam hall

We will now attempt to solve these issues one after the other,
using information provided to us from various sources including JAMB officers.

No Biometric Verification:
These are candidates who have been accused of not taking proper biometric (Thumb Print) verification either during registration or during accreditation.

While some candidates may have been involved in impersonation (invalid thumb print) others were involved in double registration using different finger prints.
According to our sources in JAMB, these results are still under investigation.

From what Myschool gathered, majority of results under this category will be released as it was clearly not the fault of the candidates.

Our sources disclosed that within the next 2 weeks, all result in this category will be sorted and released.

A very small fraction however, will actually be held back if traces of impersonation or double registration is detected on an invalid thumb print.

Those that will be appropriately screened for impersonation are those where the thumb printing exercise was successfully carried out.

PHOTOS: Woman Caught In A Sealed Gutter In Lagos Nakéd

Strange things are really happening these days. How did this happen? Wonder of our time:

The lady in the photo above was caught on Friday in a permanently sealed gutter around the Albati barracks of Ojuelegba in Lagos. She was screaming out for help from deep inside the gutter when a passer-by heard her scream. He tried to help her, but couldn’t because there was no way he could get into the gutter to help her out. The gutter his permanently sealed! 

So, people are wondering how she got in there in the first place. They had to get a welder to cut one of the barricades of the gutter before she could be rescue. The woman suspected to be a witch, said in tears:

The ex-Barcelona coach was hospitalised following a drastic downturn in his health which required emergency surgery, but was unable to survive his battle with cancer

Former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has died at the age of 45 after losing his battle with cancer, the club have confirmed.

The ex-central midfielder was admitted to hospital on Thursday following a downturn in his health which required an operation on his stomach, with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirming the trainer was “fighting” for his life.

However, Vilanova, whose post-playing career was plagued by cancer, passed away on Friday afternoon.

Vilanova’s public health problems began during his final season as Pep Guardiola’s assistant when he was diagnosed with cancer of the parotid gland.

Ghanaian Juju Priest Tackles Prophet T.B Joshua

A very powerful juju priest in Ghana, Priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam, is not taking it easy with Nigerian man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, and has plans to run the popular seer out of his country as well as report him to Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church.

From what we gather, Priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam is not happy that Prophet Joshua has become one of the most powerful men that controls activities in Ghana and that even the Ghanaian president has so much faith in the Nigerian prophet.

The juju man says he will personally go to Rome to report to the Pope to call Joshua to order or else he and other members of the juju clan in his country will make things very difficult for Joshua.

Priest Bonsam is of the view that Prophet Joshua is “acting like Christ” and that his prophecies are misleading, as he is not a true man of God and uses “tricks”, having his editors fabricating things and posting it to the Internet and demonstrating on his TV station. Bonsam even indicated that it was Prophet T. B. Joshua that killed the former President of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.

Psquare Split: Globacom May Terminate Contract

The last may not have been heard of the widely reported crisis rocking the duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, as the telecommunications giant, Globacom Nigeria Limited may be forced to review its four-year contract with the pop twins.

A source close to the telecoms operator told Vanguard yesterday on telephone that Glo may terminate the endorsement deal, which it has with the pop twins since 2010, should they go ahead with the break-up.
According to the source, the telecoms giant entered into a contract with P-Square and not with any of the twins.

“Since Glo has a contract with P-Square, and not with Peter or Paul, their breakup will definitely lead to the termination of the contract,” the source explained.
