How to make use of mtn normal mb on blackberry in d absence of subscription

Hi guyz.....
people have been say that blackberry is useless without sub.
In d absence of sub, but in d presence of normal mb..just follow d following steps:
step 1: go to options=> Device. =>Advanced system settings=>TCP/IP
step 2: Enable d apn settings
step 3: type "web.gprs
mtnnigeria. net" in d apn space provided
step 4: type "web" in both username and password space provided......
