David Silva’s head injury overshadowed Manchester City’s comfortable 2-0 Premier League win over West Ham as the hosts eased the pressure on manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini admitted ahead of the game at the Etihad Stadium that he could be sacked if City fail to finish in the top four, with the reigning champions having lost four of their previous six top-flight matches.
