HOW TO PLAY DVD MOVIES AND OTHER MEDIA ON YOUR PS2.

With more homebrew apps being developed
for the ps2.The ps2 has moved from
just being a gaming console to something
better.
With SMS (simple media system) you can
play a wide variety of media formats on
your ps2 via the usb.

You'll need a 8mb ps2 mem card with
freemcboot already installed for this.
If you payed to get your freemcboot
installed for you,it already comes
preinstalled with SMS but those who
do the installations always turn off
OSDYS HACK and set OPENPS2LOADER's boot up to auto.
If osdys h*ck was 'on' you'd see a list of
your ps2 apps and you'd be able to choose
the one you want to use instead of having
opl launch each time you power on your ps2

Requirements are:
(1)8mb memcard with freemcboot
(2)SMS download at http://sksapps.com/media/SMS_Version_2.9_R4.rar
(3)media file(avi,mp4etc)
(4)usb or flash

now lets begin
(1download the SMS and extract SMS.ELF file inside to the flash drive.
(2)download your media file and move to the flashdrive.
(3)power on ps2,wait for free mcboot logo then hold 'R1'
(4)ulaunchelf boots,navigate to 'mass' locate SMS.ELF then press 'O' to launch.
(5)SMS launches now use it to locate you media and play it,you can forward and rewind movies if you want to.

N.B:Don't get me wrong you can't play the movies from the discs,but you can play them only when extracted from the discs and played via usb.SMS can play up to 4gb movie size.
