BBA Nigerian Representative, Beverly Osu Hospitalized

Many do not know, but Nigeria's Big Brother Africa, BBA, representative in the 2013 edition of the reality show, Beverly Osu has not been feeling well since the last day of the show in South Africa.



As you read this, she has been admitted into a hospital:
According to NET, Beverly was said to have sustained an ankle injury on the finale of the reality show while climbing the stage and I hear the situation was getting more serious than she had thought.

Beverly who returned on Tuesday night was admitted on Wednesday at FaithCity Hospital, Oju Olobun Close, off Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

She is said to be responding to treatment. Fellow housemate Melvin and Uti Nwachukwu were some of the first people to visit her in the hospital.

5 Steps to Make your Browsing the Internet Activity “More” Secure

the internet activity "more" secure. Why I give this title not "Securing internet" or "really secure"? because from what I know, there's nothing secure while your computer connected to the internet, so the most relevant way was to make it "more" secure, but not 100% secure…at least we can minimalize the security threat

Step by Step :

1. Make a Different Password
Doesn't mean that you should make a different password for every website you've visited, because for normal people, they cannot remember too many password in their head. Try to prioritize which one is important and which one is not to important. Let's see explanation below :
Try to make different password for important and not important one. In the example if you treat GMail and Yahoo as important, you can make the same password for it. It's better to make different password for your social network and your e-mail, let's say your facebook account has been compromised the attacker can't access your e-mail and you're still able to restore your facebook account.

2. Social Network Website and E-Mail
I think there's so many people using a lot of variation social network such as facebook, twitter, etc, and also free e-mail service such as gmail, yahoo, live mail, etc. One thing you should remember that they also provide a secure HTTP service to make every connection secured. Make sure to check whether the website you visited that need authentication provide a https connection or not, if they provide https connection for login, make sure put https:// in the front of the address e.g  : https://facebook.com.
 
note : this will work only for website that provide https connection.
 3. Separate the Browser While Surfing Internet
This step also very important step to minimize the security threat. Sometimes when you open Facebook, Twitter, or other social network website you can't stay static on that page, usually you start to surf around other website while waiting. While you surf the internet there's so many infected website or harmful website that use your active session to do such bad things.
Try to install minimum 2 type of browser(e.g : Firefox and Google Chrome) and choose which browser will use for opening Facebook, Twitter, GMail, Yahoo, etc and the other browser will be used for surfing all the website without limitation.
4. Be Careful While Using Proxy (Free Proxy Service)
Yep this is the 4th step you can do, some people using proxy to make their connection faster because they need to hide it from their internal network bandwidth limiter or access some website that blocked by government or by administrator in office/schools. Especially for free proxy services you should be careful, because you never know which computer you connect to and which data they collecting. If you using proxy services and there's an authentication, make sure you use https connection. For example in my place Facebook and Twitter was blocked, so I should use proxy and authenticate using https connection. It's better not using proxy for website that need authentication but that website didn't provide secure connection(https).
 5. Always Update Your Browser
This is the last, but there's still many steps you can do besides this 5 steps in this blog. Make sure your browser always up to date, because they usually fixing a security hole in your browser. It's better to prevent than give a medicine

ASUU Strike: Students’ Peaceful Protest Turns Bloody IN Delta

Peaceful protest organized by Nigeria Students Delta State over the continuous Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike turned out to be bloody as police were alleged to have fired both tear gas and gunshots at students to prevent them from protesting.
Consequently many of the students were alleged to have received various degree of injuries.
A three hundred student was allegedly seriously injured is presently receiving treatment in an hospital.
Urhobotoday gathered that three of the students who were critically injured as a result of the police action are admitted in different.

Group To Give Scholarship Up To University Level To Boy Who Hide In The Wheel Well Of Arik Air

Experts in the aviation industry have expressed
surprise over the survival of a teenager stowaway,
DanielOikhena, who hid in the wheel well of Arik Air
aircraft used for flight W3 544 from Benin Airport to
the Murtala Muhammed Airport, MMA, Lagos.

It will be recalled that the teenager apparently
sneaked into the aircraft main wheel well at the Benin
Airport after he had beaten security checks at the
airport, but he was arrestedby Arik Air personnel and
handed over to Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,
FAAN, security upon arrival at the Murtala
Muhammed. Airport, Lagos when he cameout of
hiding.

Speaking on how Daniel could have survived at the
nose wheel of the aircraft, an aviation expert and
Managing Director of Belujane Consult, Mr. Chris
Aligbe said there was no expert in the aviation
industry that could give a satisfactory explanation to
what happened, stressing that the boy survival
was indeed miraculous.

He further noted that the boy survival could be
as a result of the short distance that the plane
flew,noting that from Benin to Lagos airport was just
35 minutes of flight time.

He said that the aircraft did not ascend high into the
skyas it only flew at 10,000 feetabove sea level.

Aligbe, however, stressed that if the distance was a
long haul flight, like from Lagos to London, the
teenager would have frozento death, stressing that
the higher an aircraft ascends into the sky, the cooler
the nose wheel apartment becomes.

He said that was the major reason why people that
stowed away from Lagos to other parts of the world
are found dead upon arrival at their destination.
In such cases he said, the airline staff often found the
corpses of such people on landing.

It was a miracle
He said: There is no aviation experts that can give
you a satisfactory explanation on the incident.

The nostril of the aircraft is not designed for anybody
tostay in. The boy survival was miraculously
done by God because the aircraft could have crushed
the boy when the plane was retracting its tyres.��
��Although the hole is a bit wide, it is not meant for
anybody to stay in.

There isno scientific explanation to it, there is no
aviation expert or technology that could explain how
that boy survived onboard that aircraft.

He survived because of his size, Ore
Also speaking, Chairman of Aviation Round Table,
ART, Captain Dele Ore, explained that the boy
survived because of his size and more so, the flight
was for ashort distance which was not more than
10,000 feet.

Ore said based on the small size of the boy, he was
not crushed to death on the wheels where he hid
himself.

The ART chairman further said had the flight been a
place like United States of America, the plane would
have flown above 25,000- 35000 feet, the boy would
have died in five minutes because the place he hid
himself was not a pressurized area.

Group volunteers to sponsor his education
Meantime, De Raufs, a volunteer group extolling the
virtues of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Osun
State, has volunteered to sponsor 15-year-old
stowaway teenager, Daniel Oikhena, who hid in the
tyre compartment of Arik Air flightfrom Benin to
Lagos.

In a statement signed by theDirector General of the
group, Comrade Amitolu pootu, the group is ready
togive scholarship to Daniel up to university level and
help him realise his dream oftravelling by air
legitimately.

pootu said: Genius and ambitious citizen of our
country must not be suffocated on the alter of
political and bureaucratic enforcement. The little
boy ambition should be nurtured through
qualitative education, and the group is ready to give
the boy all thenecessary support to make his dream a
reality.

We sincerely willing to offer him the scholarship
to encourage thousands of teenagers who are
cerebral and ambitious.

The leaders in Nigeria fail on their part to see the
potential of the little boy. Therefore, De Raufs takes
up the responsibility to safe the future of this great
boy and not turning him to criminal.
