The published story, made false claims that during the recent Native & Vogue Fashion Week that took place in Port-Harcourt, that the Ex-Miss World turned Fashion Entrepreneur, poured her heart out to guests and revealed that she is suffering from Endometriosis.
Endometriosis is the same thing Nike Oshinowo has that made it almost impossible for her to carry a pregnancy.While there was an admission of a Top Model on her struggle with Endometriosis, this admission was not made by Agbani Darego. Agbani has since taken to her Twitter and Facebook account to dismiss these false claims.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is known to many. Her acting prowess is arguably in a class by itself and her being nominated as one of the world's 100 most influential persons by TIME magazine a couple of years back must have paved the way for her present national recognition by the Federal Government. Frankly speaking, I personally think she has more depth in acting than her 'rival' Genevieve Nnaji. I have worked with both of them in the past and also studied their acting styles. Omotola has the gift of role immersion. She gives everything into her characters. There is an organic style of interpretation she is gifted with. Very few actors have that. "This man asked for divorce over seven times, long before we finally separated. At every little problem, he would say ‘I want divorce, I want divorce.' There are some people that he listens to when they talk to him, so I tried to call pastors, and they kept calling him, but he wouldn’t pick their calls. At some point, I just realized that he had made up his mind finally. It got to a point that I had to look at myself in the mirror, and I said to myself, ‘Doris, you are a beautiful woman, why would you want to kill yourself over nothing?’ I convinced myself to just try and move on with my life also. It took me a year to get to that point, but in between that time, I was trying to focus my mind on other things such as work."
My advice to other women going through this is; put God first in everything. Put things behind you, make sure you look your best and work harder. Don’t kill yourself because of any man because you have kids to take care of.
