I will sue Australian negotiator who said I sponsor Boko Haram - Alimodu Sheriff

Former Borno state governor Alimodu Sheriff, who was accused by Australian Boko Haram negotiator Stephen Davis of being a sponsor of Boko Haram, held a press conference which ended a few minutes ago where he addressed the accusations. He denied the claims and said he plans to sue Mr Davis. He said the campaign against him is 'callous and unwarranted' and those linking him with the sect are 'either ignorant or completely out for mischief'. Some of the things he said below...

"I condole with the people of Borno, particularly the people of Bama, Gwoza and Gamboru over the recent attacks. My name has been mentioned for political reasons over the attacks of Boko Haram. I have been accused unfairly in connection with Boko Haram since I left office.

 "For the records, let me state categorically that I do not share the same ideology with Boko Haram. By my nature, I am opposed to the philosophy of Boko Haram." Continue.

British Ebola patient, William Pooley, has been discharged

William Pooley, the first British National who tested positive to the deadly Ebola virus in Sierra Leone on August 23rd has been discharged from the Royal Free Hospital in London. He was discharged today September 3rd after being successfully treated with the experimental drug, ZMapp

The 29 year old volunteer nurse was transported from Sierra Leone to England on August 24th, a day after he tested positive.

Sex Therapist, pastor Funmi Akingbade says the average Nigerian man is not the most patient lover. In an interview with City People magazine, pastor Akingbade said Nigerian men see foreplay and other activities before intercourse as a waste of time. She says to have a bliss marital life, great sex must be incorporated and that the woman should not be seen as an object just to 'release' into.

A few days ago, CeeLo Green shared his disturbing opinions regarding rape on social media. During a debate with his fans, CeeLo said 'real rape victims remember being raped', this was after he was accused of drugging a woman and having sex with her
A few days after making these comments, TBS canceled his reality show 'The Good Life', a show that was supposed to re-launch CeeLo's old group, Goodie Mob, back onto the music scene.

Fire razes 40 apartments at Police barracks in Lagos

Fire has raised about 40 apartments at the Ijeh Police Barracks in Obalende Lagos state PM News reports. The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be determined

This is the same barracks that a police officer died on Friday August 29th after he was pushed down a building by his wife during a fight. The officer died before getting to the hospital while his widow is still in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital.

Claudio Vieira de Oliveira, 37, was born with his neck folded back on itself, as well as badly deformed legs and almost no use of his arms and hands. The divorce mess between Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has worsened, P.M News reports.

On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.

Nigerian mum gives birth to white baby in odds that baffled midwives

32 year old Nigerian Catherine Howarth was convinced she had been given the wrong child when midwives presented her with her new baby shortly after she gave birth at a Milton Keynes Hospital on June 1st. She was stunned because the little boy named Jonah was completely white. And even though baby Jonah has a white father, doctors say the chances of him being completely white too were an incredible one in a million.

Doctors fear stroke could leave Joan Rivers 'either a vegetable or in a wheelchair' as they begin process to bring her out of coma

I'm always checking for updates on Joan Rivers and according to Daily Mail, doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, yesterday Sunday August 31st started the process of bringing her out of her medically-induced coma, but fear she could be left as 'a vegetable' or 'needing a wheelchair' as they battle to save her life. The waking-up process will take until tomorrow Tuesday September 2nd.

"There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair,' a source close to the family said

"Rivers would not want to live unless she could enjoy 'a full and active life. ... (She) would never want to be a burden on anyone' another family friend said

The 81-year-old was having surgery on her vocal cords at a clinic in NYC when she suddenly stopped breathing during the procedure on Thursday August 28th.

Footballer Emmanuel Emenike in N30m land dispute with Enugu state Govt

Nigerian star striker Emmanuel Emenike is currently at war with the Enugu State Government over 13 plots of land worth N30 million which he bought to build a sports academy in Enugu according to a report from AfricanFootball.

According to the report, soldiers have invaded the property in Enugu and have prevented any work on it, a development that hasn't gone down well with the footballer. Emenike said he bought the 13 plots of land after the World Cup in Brazil through a special assistant to the Enugu State Governor, Frank Ugwunweze, who handed all documents concerning the land in Emenike's name to the striker.
