Nigerian doctor killed by husband in the US has been laid to rest

The 36 year old Nigerian Medical doctor who was shot dead by her 63 year old husband, Martin Ebegbodi on Saturday March 22nd at their home in West Harris County, Houston, Texashas been buried.

Dr Isioma Awele Ebegbodi was buried yesterday May 3rd in the US. Pictured right are her children, who are now staying with family members, because their mother is dead and their father is in prison. Too sad!

Facebook Messenger Update Now with In-App Photo and Video Sharing

Facebook on Monday released a new update to their independent mobile messaging app, Messenger, featuring a new camera option for taking in-app photographs and allowing users to upload and send videos from their camera roll, a feature that was previously unavailable. A camera icon above the keyboard surfaces the phone’s camera, which can also be flipped for front-facing photos (selfies!). The picture is captured and sent with just one click, the disadvantage being that you can’t edit or retake a picture if you don’t like it.

US embassy in Nigeria warns of possible terror attack on Sheraton Hotel in Lagos

The United States Embassy in Nigeria today Friday May 2nd issued a warning to U.S citizens, asking them to avoid Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, and also said 'groups associated with terrorism' are planning an attack on Sheraton Hotel in Lagos.

Another Presidential media chat will hold tomorrow May 4th...starring President Jonathan and some handpicked journalists.

According to a press statement by presidential Spokesperson, Reuben Abati, the Presidential chat will start by 7pm and will be aired live on the network services of the NTA, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and the Voice of Nigeria.

"During the programme, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will respond to questions from a panel of journalists and media executives on current national issues and developments. Members of the public who have particular issues they will like President Jonathan to address are also invited to send their questions via twitter to @mediachatng1. 'I will lead protest to Chibok, and I don't mind being shot' - Patience Jonathan

First Lady Patience Jonathan has said she's ready to lead a protest to Chibok, Borno state if the kidnapped girls are not released soon, and doesn't mind being shot if that's what it will take to release the girls. (if I hear! lol). Mama peace made this statement during a meeting with wives of government functionaries, female Senators and Commissioners.

"I do not mind being shot as long as they return our girls to us safely, we are tired of the kidnapping,” she said.

According to her, First Ladies of other countries such as Cameroon, Chad, Niger and others have  being calling to ask her questions and offer assistance on the matter.

“World’s Fattest Woman Alive” Slims Down So She Can ‘dance All Night’ For Weddding

38-year-old Charity Pierce who holds the current world record for fattest woman alive, has revealed plans to slim down, so she can walk down the aisle with her fiancé 22-year-old Tony Saur.

Because Ms Pierce, who is the fattest woman in the world, has developed a medical condition called lymphedema, which has caused a huge swelling on her left leg, she no longer fits easily into a regular car.

To make the 1,000 mile trip to Texas the single mother would need to hire a private ambulance, and she is currently trying to raise $5,000 to pay for it.

She has been home bound and is unable to walk without help. She plans to lose 20 stones for her dream wedding.

“I’m determined not to have to get married at home – I want to be able to walk up the aisle.

We both love country music so I plan to wear a wedding dress, cowboy boots and cowgirl hat and Tony will be in jeans and cowboy boots.” she says.

Her doctors have advised her to lose weight because she is at risk of having a heart attack or a stroke and dying in her sleep.

Tony who is nearly half her age, is helping her diet and finding a doctor who is willing to perform bypass surgery on her.
